Cucurbit family is one of the most popular crop in vegetable category. Major cucurbit family crops include Melon , Water Melon, Courgettes, Cucumber Pumbkin etc . Cultivation of cucurbit pose varied challenges during cultivation. One such challenge is sudden wilt of Melons. World over this disease ( physiological disorder ) has caused major disruptions in yield and quality of the produce on world wide basis. Hi Cell Products are specially designed to address these challenges at different stages .
Nursery: Application of Hi Cell Gold (0.3 % ) during first watering will increase the germination rate and induce strong shoot emergence. Second application of Hi Bellator (.4%) will develop strong nursery plants.
Transplanting : Application of Hi Cell Bellator ( .3%) in drench will take care of most of the pests and bacterial infestations during establishment. This formulation will also induce faster growth .
Growth : Application of Hi Cell Eradico ( .2%) in drench will take care of most of the pests including aphids jassids etc .Application of Hi Cell Rubigo ( .25%) will take care of powdery mildew & sclerectonia infections.
Maturity : Application of Hi Cell Eradico ( .2%) in drench will take care of most of the pests. Application of “Hi Cell Renova “ (.3) will develop extensive root system and thicker stems. Application of Hi Cell Ribigo ( .25%) will take care of powdery mildew & sclerectonia infections.
Flowering : Application hi Cell Incrementum (.25 %) in spray will induce more pistilate flowering ,reduce flower drop and enhance fruit size development. Application of Hi cell Rubigo .(25%) will take care of powdery mildew & sclerectonia infections.
Fruit Maturity :
- Melons and Water melons : This is the most critical period for the crop. We suggest that the farmer apply “Hi Cell Pugnator ” ( .25 %) as a preventive against sudden wilt. We also suggest use of “Hi cell Suavis “ (.25%) every week after fruiting to achieve larger fruit size and higher brix. Application of Hi cell Suavis has shown to delay the onset of sudden wilt symptoms and increase the brix levels substantially.
- Courgettis and Cucumber : We suggest regular alternate application of Hi Cell Rubigo (.25%) and Hi Cell Renova (.25%) every three days. This will ensure better quality and prolonged harvesting period.
