Powdery Mildew fungus ( various species ) control  is a  major challenge for horticulturists and agronomists around the world especially in view of strict MRL regime followed by EU and other  countries. At the same time Powdery mildew strains have been showing increasing tolerance to prevailing  chemicals being used. Sulphur cannot be applied at late stage specially when the climate is humid. Similarly  there are  crops those do not tolerate sulphur applications. Most of the chemical controls molecules have extended PHIs regulations and thus  rendered useless during late stage powdery mildew attack on crops.
