Asparagus

Asparagus is one of the major vegetable crop that is cultivated in large scale in temperate as well as in semi temperate regions of Peru and USA . Peru is a major supplier to northern hemisphere countries during winter months. Asparagus is harvested either in green form ( above ground ) or in white form ( below ground). Green Asparagus is most widely cultivated and consumed type in the world. Cultivation of green asparagus is becoming more challenging due to climate challenges ( sudden increase in temperatures) resulting in lower quantity  more fibrous spears those fetch lower price in market. Hi cell has developed products and technologies to mitigate these problems and enhance yield and quality of produce.

Nursery: Drenching the asparagus seed in a solution of Hi Cell Bellator   ( 1%) for 24 hours will enhance seed germination significantly. The shoot growth will pronounced.

Corm formation: After seed germination is completed regular application of Hi Cell Bellator   (.25 %)  in spray will take care of most of the bacterial infections and pests.

Plantation : Drenching the corm in 1% solution of “Hi Cell Bellator ” will take care of soil borne bacterial infections and induce faster shoot growth.

Corm development : Application of Hi Cell Renova ( .3%) in Spray /drench every 15 days will ensure larger and thicker subsequent shoot emergence. If the farmer notices any pest attack application of Hi cell Eradico ( .2 %) in spray will take care of the opportunistic pests.

Maturity : Application of Hi Cell Pugnator ( .2%) in spray will take care of most of the fungal and bacterial infections.

Harvest : Regular application of Hi Cell Renova (.25 %) regularly ( every forth day ) in Spray /drench will increase the diameter and length of the spears substantially. The spears will also more tender and less fibrous. The spears will also last longer with out getting fibrous. This is most important characteristic in case of long distance transport and storage of spears.
With application of Renova farmer can expect significant increase in spear size and quality of the spears.

Spear quality : Research at Hi Cell has indicated that application of Hi Cell Suavis ( .3% ) in the drench significantly enhances spear diameter organoleptic properties of spears. There is significant increase in TSS of the spear making them more tastier and palatable.
